In a remote location facing out across the lake and parkland, you’ll find The Hovel. It’s an ideal den for couples in search of time to spend together. There’s a hot tub and jetty with your own rowboat, both easily accessible when you slide back the enormous front window, Inside is a cavernous room with country kitchen at one end, cosy bed area at the other and a striking mythical fireplace taking centre stage in between. Arched cruck frame beams support the thatched roof and large windows let light spill in across the antique wooden floor. It’s a hovel in name alone because there’s every modern convenience, neatly arranged— including wine cooler, Wi-Fi, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine, while the bathroom is a quirkily designed jewel, stocked full of luxury toiletries.
