Our quintessential Suffolk long-barn is a luxuriously appointed four-bedroom example of what happens when local architecture and craftsmanship are brought together to create a careful restoration. 17th century timber beam ceilings and walls echo a bygone era, while effortlessly inhabiting the same spaces as the latest cooking and connectivity technology.
This barn is a painstaking restoration of a 17th century building, but we’ve added a few touches of our own to create a light, uplifting interior. Floor to ceiling windows and a recently refurbished conservatory flood the ground floor with light. The four individually designed en suite bedrooms are delightfully interior designed - the master bedroom has an enormous gable- end window illuminating a two-tiered space — with a king size bed looking down from the raised section. A large open-plan kitchen and dining room are filled with Arts & Crafts furniture, with doors opening onto a private dining terrace and views over the vast parkiand beyond. The Barn can be rented in conjunction with The Clockhouse to create an eight-bedroom, five reception room property.
